Phil Reinford, better known as simply “Phil” is the owner and founder of Penn Flight Academy. Phil founded the school over 10 years ago. Despite numerous factors that would have hindered him from building a quality flight school, he has overcome all the barriers and challenges to grow into Penn Flight Academy, one of the most regarded flight schools in the Philadelphia area.

Phil began his aviation career flying out of a grass strip in Schwenksville, PA. From these humble beginnings grew a spectacular aviation career, retiring after 30 years with American Airlines as a Captain on the 787 Dreamliner. Phil has amassed well over 30,000 hours of flight time, has over 10 type ratings, which include the Boeing 727, 747, 787, the Airbus 300 and 330, and the Douglass DC-1,0 to name a few.

While Phil’s resume is impressive, he is always available to talk and willing to chat and answer any questions you might have.

You will be able to find him easily, as “Red,” his faithful K-9 companion, will be close by his side!
